Fluffy Shopping! (Open)

Decisions, decisions. It was sure a lovely day out and all with the sun shining its golden rays upon the denizens of Tokyo. Not overly humid either which made it much more comfortable to traverse the most densely populated city in the world. Most of the people walking about the shopping strip were wearing very western clothing, ranging from jeans with t-shirts to slacks and polos and cute but still western ensembles for the ladies. Tiny though the brunette was Homura still managed to stand out in this sea of humanity by the fact that he was the only one wearing a kimono. Not just a kimono but a lovely light pink floral patterned one with a white and black obi bringing its colors together in quite the beautiful way. Unlike his typical ensembles he wore that long, soft hazelnut hair up in a bun held in place with somewhat ornate sticks. A pair of side locks framed his naturally feminine face as well, giving him the air of a young lady just out and about who happened to be wearing a kimono.

What he was shopping for was, oddly, plush animals. For some reason they'd been on his mind quite a bit lately and the store he now stood before had a pretty wide selection of adorable ones. Last time he'd owned one had been several years and a couple of apartments ago. Unfortunately that poor bear (he thought it had been intended to be a bear, but it might've been a beaver) had been confiscated by the being who claimed to be his father. Now free to be as cute as he wanted, Homura was in the market for something to cuddle with at night. Only problem was that there were so many choices that making a decision was going to be incredibly difficult.

"A pegasus.. or a dragon with a.. human arm for some reason? No, he's too angry looking. Let's see... maybe that tiger or a koala," he thought aloud, not realizing that in stepping back to get a better look at the window full of plushies, he was about to run into someone.

Irritated was one way to describe the way Yuna currently felt. Why her friend had decided to cancel on her when she had already come all the way down here was beyond the little blonde, but it left her in the middle of Tokyo debating whether she should just take the bus back home or make the best of a bad situation and window shop for a while.

Completely oblivious to everything and everyone around her, Yuna tried to make up her mind as quickly as possible- after all, the bus would be coming soon, and if she did want to stick around, she might as well take as much time as she could to window shop- and maybe actually go in to a few stores.

Someone chose that moment to bump into her, and she let out a squeak as she took a step forward as she whirled around, automatically raising her head to look… nobody in the eye. It was then that Yuna realized that the the person who'd bumped her was almost exactly the same height as her. She'd nearly missed seeing the other girl simply out of habit- being as short as she was did tend to force her to look up at everyone. "Gomen, I wasn't paying attention. You're okay, right?" The little blonde was genuinely concerned for the person she'd just bumped into as strange as it might seem.

The surprise was equally great for Homura as he spun around to apologize for being so careless himself. At first he glanced up to see if there was anyone standing there whom he had stepped into the path of and found nobody there. This was quite peculiar because he had definitely felt the impact made when two people collided, even at a very slow and safe speed. That probably ruled out any odd or disturbing young man who might be attracted by the sight of a cute girl in traditional clothes. Those were always annoying to have to deal with but there was no man where he glanced next - down, and down until at last on eye level there was a blonde girl.

Homura couldn't believe that he was actually face to face with someone else as small as he was, nice and compact as that size was. At first he was worried the girl was a foreign tourist who wouldn't be able to speak Japanese; his grasp on English was a bit tenuous and he was quite nervous about using it around native speakers. Thanks to her being a girl and also, he had to admit, a very cute one to boot, he wasn't afraid of her. Best of all she spoke Japanese as she apologized for their little accident; relieved at this turn of events he giggled a little, hiding his mouth behind the wide sleeve of his kimono. She didn't seem to have any friends with her either, so maybe she was here alone? Well, he could do with some company anyhow, and he almost instantly liked something about her beyond her cuteness.

"It's perfectly fine, I'm not harmed at all. Really it's my own fault for backing up like that without checking where I was going. So if anything I should be apologizing to you," he told her while smiling happily, "I was just looking at these plushies.. but I can't decide which one I like, other than I don't want the dragon with the beefy arm."

Then he asked, "Hey, do you want to go in and look at them up close with me? It could be a lot of fun!"

It was still quite a shock to run into someone virtually the same height as Yuna who wasn't a young child. She couldn't help but giggle along with the girl in the kimono, especially after she apologized as well. There was something about this girl that just made Yuna like her right away. Maybe it was the height.

Or it could be the fact that she was looking for a plushie. That alone was enough to endear the kimono wearing girl to Yuna. "I have to agree with you on that, that dragon is very ugly." She'd poked her head to the side to get a glance at the plushie in question, and hated it instantly. Her eyes brightened again and the remainder of her irritation faded away when the girl invited her to look at the plushies together. "I'd love to! Come on!"

She grabbed the girl's hand and moments later was pulling her into the shop, and Yuna couldn't help but let out a quiet "Wow…" It was only then that she realized she didn't know the girl's name and turned back towards her letting go of her hand. "I'm Yuna, by the way, Yuna Ise!"

So it was that both diminutive feminine youths found the dragon unseemly and proceeded into the toy shop proper. Nothing at all about this girl was imposing or frightening to the kimono expert, which made him quickly hope they might be able to be friends. She had really pretty blonde hair and a really nice complexion, not to mention they were the same size! Homura lived daily in a land of giants who were kind of scary just by being so much taller than him. It was kind of embarrassing to have to buy clothes in the kids' section of stores when he was already 14; at the same time he actually found some cute things pretty regularly. He wondered if maybe this girl had the same problems he did with finding clothes and being picked on or ignored because of her height. For him, most of the time, this was the perfect size!

Together they looked at all the incredibly adorable animals on display, from the common (cats and dogs) to the odd (unicorns and Pegasus). So many of them were cute that he simply couldn't pick one out from the assortment. He also smiled happily when he noticed that the other girl had taken his hand. It was really warm! So nice to have a girl like this so eager to join him in shopping for cute things! Hearing her name made Homura smile even more as he became just as enthusiastic about their shopping as Yuna appeared to be. Maybe they'd be able to pick out something that was the cutest of all, after narrowing it down enough of course. Then, dare he consider it, might they be able to have lunch together? Yuna was really nice, and he sincerely hoped that they could do so.

"Nice to meet you, Yuna-chan! I'm Homura Iwamoto," he introduced himself with a little bow and then his eyes went wide, "What do you think about that.. winged horse over there?"

It was quite a delight to meet someone the same size as her who wasn't just a little kid, as so often happened. Add to that the fact that this girl was similarly interested in cute plushies, and Yuna already wanted to be her friend.

Already looking around the shop, Yuna quickly saw a number of plushies she liked, including several unicorns that were similar to Leonardo. The pegasus plushie that Homura pointed out fortunately fell in that category.

"Oooo, that one's cool!" She was having trouble containing her excitement and was almost bouncing in place. This was turning out to be just as enjoyable as what she'd originally had planned with her other friend. Yuna grabbed Homura's hand again and headed over to the plushie that the her new friend had pointed out.
