Home work time// Open

Haruka sat at the table she usually shared with Michiru when they came here. It was likely a strange sight to see Haruka here without the aquanette. If Haruka came to the crown she usually spent her time downstairs on the racing game she just didn't feel like it that day. The others had their own things to do after school so where did the blond tom boy go the fruit parlor. She crossed her legs under the table dropping her bag on the seat next to her. She still had the full mugan uniform on and looked much like a boy with the boys uniform on. She clasped her hands behind her head waiting.

"oh Haruka-san what can I get you?" she voice asked. the blond smiled at Unazuki. "just a coffee I'm not planing on staying long today." she said with a chuckle and a wink at the younger girls direction as the other ran off blushing. Haruka made herself comfortable in her seat as she waited for her coffee to come. After a moment she sat up pulling out her homework from her bag making a face at the book on top. As cool as the blond tried to be she could not stop from letting her disdain at having to do Modern Japanese home work. Seriously least favorite and her worst subject and it was her only home work. She sighed and started working on it before she talked herself out of doing it.

She checked her phone again. That phone that was for specific communication with her benefactor and employer, remained infuriatingly silent. No calls had been received which meant that there would be no cases to work. And no reason to ditch her homework. Begrudgingly, Riko slide her phone to the opposite side of the table and flipped through her textbook once more. With a sigh, Riko began to work. At least the waitress was cute.

Or at least that would be a plus, had the girl not spent so much time ogling that boy who had come in some time after Riko's third or fourth check of her phone. Stupid boys, always ruining her chances with all the cute waitresses. Riko frowned over her textbook as she looked over at the table. Sure, she could sort of see why someone might like that fellow. Brown eyes narrowed, studiously. Although her studies were not concerning the words in her book. Those could wait until later. She was determined to solve this mystery!

'A Mugen student...' she determined. The uniform was a rather big hint. Riko still had on her own uniform from TA Academy. Given the body language, whatever he was working on, Riko gathered he was about as eager to complete that task as Riko was with her own studies. So that was at least one thing they had in common.

'Well, maybe two things...' Riko thought, with a quick glance over at the waitress who was off to happily place that Mugen boy's order.

Haruka sighed before reaching over and pulling her pen out of her bag and got started. Well least favorite subject or not it had to be done. it was either do it now or let Michiru find out she hadn't and do it with the aquanette leaning over her shoulder. She decided she might as well do it now while she still had time that way instead of doing homework after dinner she could go for a light jog. She ran her hand through her short hair before getting back to work on her homework.

he took a moment to smile at the red head who brought her coffee to her. "I think I interrupted some flirting." she said with a smirk meeting the eyes of the girl that was looking at her. no Haruka wasn't stupid even if the wind didn't reach her in the building she could feel the others eyes on her. The girl standing next to her blushed again. "Oh Motoki says hi and that he's rather insulted that you didn't stop in the arcade first." the other teased. "Well you can tell your brother if he's that worried about it he can drag me down there gets me away from this." she said waving her hand over the book.

Haruka raised an eyebrow not looking away from the girl that had been studying her. She would recognize that uniform any where she had seen Rei wear it enough times. "Hey You go to TA Academy don't you?" she asked not that she really needed an answer as she already knew it.

The waitress returned and the pair commenced and Riko's evaluation of her adversary continued. Whoever he was, he seemed like such a smooth operator and she couldn't help but feel just the slightest bit jealous. Some people just had all the luck, didn't they? Sure, maybe he was KIND of good looking.

If you were into that sort of thing.

And then he actually spoke to her. Right in her direction and asked if she went to TA Academy. Which was about as easy to assume as it was for her to guess he went to Mugen. She tried her best not to "Eep!", but it didn't want to be contained so easily.

"Y-yeah...why?" she answered. Needless as it was, contact had been made. She held the book up, as it made for a good shield to prevent any sort of blush that may, or may not, have been flaring up at her discovery. Great, now she was going to look stupid in front of the waitress.

'Thanks a LOT, guy!'

Haruka laughed with the girl with a small smirk on her face."you don't want me passing on that message he will do it." the other said. "oh I'm well aware of that it just means I can't get in trouble with Michiru for not getting my Modern Japanese done because it will all be your brothers fault." she said causing the other to laugh. Haruka smirked as she watcher the other girl walk off to go check on other customers.

She would readily admit the girl at the other table was rather cute. "so whats a cute little thing like you doing here all alone." she said with a smirk. Hey it was a time she could flirt and not have to worry about getting into trouble with Michiru as the other girl wasn't there. Not that Michi would actually get upset about it because Haruka was always flirting.

"no reason just curious I have a friend that goes there." the blond said leaning back in her seat and taking a drink out of her coffee mug.

The more he talked, the more his voice seemed...a little unexpected. Well, that was the best way Riko could put it. Just one of those things you couldn't quite put your finger on. Besides, now he was actually trying to hit on her! Riko! Having some guy flirt with HER?

She straightened up, her head popping right out from behind the cover(/shield) of her book. "Eh?" she appeared more perplexed from the comment, than anything else. "Well...for your information, I'm doing homework." which was mostly true. At least that was what she had told herself she was going to do. So far, she had not accomplished much of it. At this rate, it was going to take quite a while to actually get down to it. As she glanced at her work, she noted that it didn't look TOO complicated.

'And thank every god there is, for THAT.' she thought.

"Do you?" she tilted her head, suspiciously. Had she ever heard anyone mention some boy from Mugen, before? Not to her recollection. To be fair, she wouldn't have paid much attention to anything that happened after "She's seeing that boy from--", anyways.

Besides, there was that tone, again. 'Say...could be wrong or is he actually...' she started to form a theory, but didn't complete it. She hardly had any evidence to support such a claim, anyways.
